Privacy Policy Security Academy

Through this Privacy Policy, the Security Academy (Information Security Academy BV) informs you about the way in which your personal data is handled within our organization. We respect your privacy and abide by the rules set by the AVG / GDPR.

Which data is processed?

Security Academy processes the personal data that we receive from you or your employer. This concerns, for example, data that we receive when registering for a course, requesting our brochure, registering for our newsletter or when you contact us in any other way. We collect and process, among other things, the following personal data: your name, address and other contact details, data relating to the study program for which you have registered, including payment details, your feedback about the study program and other information you provide to us. In addition, the Security Academy collects and processes personal data in the context of your training, such as your attendance, any results and whether you have successfully completed the training.

For what purposes is your data processed?

We use your personal data for the following purposes: the registration and administrative processing of your participation in the training you have chosen; providing the training you have chosen; to perform analyzes so that we can improve our services; to send you our newsletter or brochure; to provide you with the information requested by you and to respond to your questions; and to comply with laws and regulations. If this has been agreed with your employer, Security Academy can provide your employer with information about your attendance at the course. We can also make your personal data available to our accreditation and examination organizations. Security Academy will not provide your details to other third parties unless you have given prior permission or if Security Academy is legally obliged to do so.

Click behavior and visit data

General visitor data is recorded on the website. In this context, in particular the IP address of your computer, the possible user name, the time of retrieval and data sent by a visitor’s browser can be registered and used for statistical analyzes of visitor and click behavior on the website. We also optimize the functioning of the website. We try to anonymize these data as much as possible. This information is not provided to third parties.

Google AdWords – Google Dynamics Remarketing

Purpose: The Google AdWords cookie keeps track of which pages the user visits, so that relevant and personal advertisements can be displayed on external websites. Property: The cookie comes from Google and is deleted after a maximum of two years. Sharing: Google does not share anonymous data with third parties. View Google Privacy Statement. Google Analytics We use Google Analytics to keep track of how users use the Website and how effective our Adwords ads are on Google search result pages. The information thus obtained, including the address of your computer (IP address), is transferred to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google uses this information to keep track of how our website is being used, to provide us with reports about the Website and to provide its advertisers with information about the effectiveness of their campaigns. Google may provide this information to third parties if Google is legally required to do so, or insofar as these third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. We have no influence on this. We have not allowed Google to use the analytics information obtained for other Google services.

Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter

This site includes buttons to promote or share pages on social networks Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter. These buttons are realized by code supplied by Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter itself. This code places a cookie, among other things. Read the privacy statements of Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter (which can change regularly) to see what they do with your personal data that they process with this code.  

Security and retention period

Your personal data is protected against misuse and access by unauthorized persons via the current usual techniques. Security Academy will keep your personal data for as long as necessary for the purposes stated above or for as long as required by law. Security Academy may retain the personal data for longer if there are circumstances that justify this.

Inspection, correction and removal

Right to view, correct or delete your personal data You have the right to view, correct or delete your personal data. To this end, you can address a specified request to the Security Academy by sending an email to info@securityacademy.nl, stating your name and address. Security Academy will, in principle, respond to a request for inspection or correction within four weeks. In the event of a request for deletion, Security Academy will delete the personal data concerned as soon as possible, unless and insofar as the law requires that the personal data in question be stored or there are (other) urgent reasons that preclude deletion.
